Can you recommend a lovely hotel with spa and activities on way down to Cornwall for a day or so?

So we are travelling to Cornwall from East Midlands. Fancy a stop off on the way for a couple of days - anywhere really. Probably like to get past Bristol.

Me DH and DS age 14 - so pool/spa and some kind of activities to do but not massively important as Im sure DS will be happy on his mobile but would like to try and get him off it

Anyone?

What about Charlton House Hotel & Spa, nr Shepton Mallet. Very roughly halfway depending on Start/Finish locations. And not much of a detour from the direct route.

The hotel looks lovely with a spa and restaurant and there are a few activities locally. There is the Kilver Gardens, the Jailhouse and Somerset Railway. Bath is a nice day out with the Roman Baths. Near by you have Glastonbury and Wookey Hole.

Fowey Hall Hotel in Fowey is lovely !

Yes we know Fowey does the hotel have a nice pool or stuff for a teenager?

What about a bit of a diversion to North Devon. Saunton Sands Hotel for you and aks if there is still surf hire and surf school on the beach for your techno junkie.

I know Woolacombe has a lot of those things but dont know if Saunton beach does.
