Things you never mastered in childhood

I can't go two skates and I can't whistle with my fingers. I'd LOVE to be able to whistle with my fingers.

I'd also like to be able to do a cartwheel.

I can never remember that rhyme which is supposed to help you know the number of days in each month. 30 days hath September etc... I find the months are interchangeable so always get muddled.

I was an active child - roaming all over the city and parks and never indoors.
But I couldnt ...
do a cartwheel,
ride a bike,
skate on 2 skates,
swim
climb up a rope
whistle with fingers in mouth ( but can whistle without fingers )
understand how cats cradle works
swing along the monkey bars
You would think I was kept inside all my life.

I can't dive even though my parents spent lots of time trying to teach me!

I also can't click with my fingers and I could never do a cartwheel as a kid.

Easily tell my left from right. Think I was out of school the week we learned that.

Do a handstand against a wall
Hit a ball with a bat or racket

I can however ride a bike, roller skate, draw, and read very very quickly.

Handstand, cartwheel, swim, whistle with my fingers.

Cartwheel and my kids are bloody brilliant at it.

Underarm farts 😂😂

I can't click my fingers, juggle (lifelong dream ) nor cartwheel/handstand.

Ooooh I can't yo yo either.

And I was never able to do the monkey bars.

Like a lot of people here I never mastered handstands, headstands, cartwheels or any gymnastic move that demanded being upside down. Forward and backward rolls were my limit. Can't skate either. I have wobbly ankles so it's probably dangerous.

Climbing frames always scared me.

I can sort of swim, as in I can do an approximation of breaststroke, front crawl and backstroke, but my technique is terrible.

Never learned to dive.

Can cycle, ish, but don't like it much.

I can’t do handstands cartwheels forward/backward rolls
I can’t whistle to save my life which really pisses me off
I also couldn’t say the word ‘foal’ which I can now!

Can't swim, cartwheel, handstand or do a forward roll.

I was never taught to learn or to study. I went to a progressive school where the children were allowed to do whatever they wanted. I drew pictures and wrote stories for four years. Did virtually no maths and certainly no science (primary school). Still struggle to learn stuff now (except rhymes apparently )

Oh, and I can't throw, catch or hit anything to save my life. Lazy eye messes things up in the distance-judging department, I'm told.

Never been able to do a cartwheel or a handstand

Never learned to ride a bike as a kid - just about learned when I was 28, then (now) DH was living on the other side of London and had a ongoing task that kept him there most of the time so I never got to practise with him much and then for our first place together we had no space for 2 bikes so I've never ridden since (and 41 now)

My list is sadly v v long 😳
Can’t do a hand stand , cartwheel, climb a rope ,stand on my head, skate , do that balls against the wall ( even though I knew the songs ) and my swimming is doggy paddle . I also have never got the hang of gears on a bike . Can’t whistle but am spot on with algebra! 😂

Blow bubbles with bubble gum and use a hula hoop. Rubbish at the rubex cube and never got the hang of roller skates. Fairly crap at lots of things actually.

Now mastered belatedly:
Swimming (needed 1:1 lessons and a year later swam my first mile!)
Running
Riding a bike
Hula hoop (weighted)
Baking, baked my first cake at university!

No hope:
Throwing/ catching with much accuracy although better than I was in the absence of critical PE teachers and class"mates"
Whistling
Complex skipping games. I managed to skip at about 10 at last.
Cartwheels, I can't get my hands anywhere near enough the ground to have any momentum.

One of those Diablo things? Never got it... i still doubt whether I have the co-ordination for it.

Play chopsticks on the piano

I can, however, knit, ride a racehorse, fly a glider and juggle

The splits
Tried my best though.

I could never climb the ropes in PE and was in complete awe of the children that could.

Also I can't whistle or click my fingers

How the heck do you climb a rope anyway? Was I off sick the day they told everyone else the magic secret of how to do it?

Monkey bars, I was very athletic and strong but the technique passed me by- weirdly the same with my kids who are very gifted sportwise.
