ShagMeRiggins Don't laugh at me!! I moving my lovely, calm, sensible father - well, I thought I was. He seems to have morphed into a stressed, panicking, whimpering mess! And I'm flying home tonight. I have a feeling he's going to be on permanent video calling 😧🤯😭

"Will they bring a big enough van?" "Should I put this in here?" "What should I do with this?" "Where did I put my coffee?" Arggggghhhhhh I've never moved 🥺

And it's my birthday...!

Thanks Pavola - I got noise cancelling headphones from Dad. They've needed LOTS of trying out with different music and audiobooks!

The company I work for receives a lot of things very expensive products in bubble wrap bubbles are always on the inside apparently this is because the bubble is thinner than the base layer so is with the base layer facing outwards it's less likely to get popped.

For this riveting gem of information I demand you you send me at least 3 square foot of bubble wrap for me to play with.

Oh and happy birthday and happy New house

ShagMeRiggins · 08/07/2019 17:20

GimmeChocolateNow, I was most definitely not laughing at you. I was delighted by your question!

It was whimsical and had never occurred to me—what a brilliant query. Lovely of you to help your father, and Happy Birthday.

GimmeChocolateNow · 08/07/2019 23:26

Trust me, there isn't 3 sq ft of bubble wrap to be seen chez dad! And ShagMeRiggins, I know you weren't - my tongue was buried in my cheek! But I'm home and though I should be in bed, I've come home to arguments between LH neighbour (bloody crazy) and RH neighbour (lovely) about cat-knapping!

So I'm evicting my cat from my knee, ignoring the boiled kettle that never became tea, open my 0 birthday cards and going to my gorgeous, wonderful bed. Any try not to dream about popping bubble wrap

The bubbles go inward!!!

Reallybadday · 08/07/2019 23:48

At this risk of going against all PP (and bubbles inwards makes sense now I think on it Hmm ), we get breakable items delivered to work in bubblewrap bags and the bubbles are on the outside. Shock

Reallybadday · 08/07/2019 23:49

Oh, and Happy Birthday 🎂

Happynow001 · 09/07/2019 00:13

Happy birthday OP. Sorry I'm a bit late... 🎁 🌹🍷 😁
