Holiday prep

For many years, not only I have been in charge of choosing/booking/paying for our family holidays, but I also had to pack for DD and me, make sure the house is ok, pets taken care of, currency bought, food delivery for when we get back etc etc etc. You get the gist.

Often (every time more like), I would find myself on the boat/plane/car looking at myself and thinking: christ, woman, your hair is a mess, your nails are in a terrible state and you have the same sodding bikini you bought 8 years ago, who still doesn’t bloody fit you properly. Not waxed, not tidied at all etc. We’re leaving aside the fact that I have the same beach dress I had for 10 years now and it makes me feel unkempt.

The good part is that I got into the habit of booking a haircut and a mani/pedi when I get there, but that sort of happens 2-4 days into the holiday.

DD and I are going away soon.
She’s a teenager. She asked her dad for holiday clothes money. And she asked me to book and pay for her nails to be done.

And then it hit me!

I have been so busy making sure everybody feels good on holiday, I forgot all about myself. I always do.
DD has new bikinis and beach towel, clothes, pocket money etc.
I don’t have a beach bag, still. I use a cloth supermarket bag ffs.

So, could you please help me make a list with what I need next time. I won’t have time this time around, I work till 3 h before we fly out. But for the next time. How do I organise myself?
Thank you Brew

when do you fly out OP? would next day delivery work for you? VERY does next day delivery here so you would be able to order the things you need, and you could even get them delivered to your office if that works for you.
II would say the key things you need are:

-Beach Bag
-Coverup for Swimsuit
-2 Bikinis
-Summer dress
-Sandals
-Hat

all the best x

Too soon to do anything about it, I’m afraid, but thank you :)
I’ve resolved to shop for a beach holiday when I get back, I might be able to pick up some pieces while I’m there too.

I need to be more organised, book to have my hair, eyebrows, mani/pedi a few days before I leave. And exfoliate, and get mini shampoos/deodorants/moisturiser etc.
And fill my kindle with books, charge my camera, offload the photos in my phone to make space.
And research stuff I’d like to explore while we’re away (I do, but for the greater good of the others, not me).
Make it my holiday too :)
