Couples beach hol in September?

Looking to go away in first week of September for a special holiday for DP's 40th. We could both do with a really relaxing break so not too fussed about doing lots of sightseeing. I've never been anywhere "exotic" but DP is keen to push the boat out so I said I'd come up with some ideas but am a bit stuck!

Any recommendations? Had been thinking about Caribbean but I think it could be coming into rainy season in September? Other ideas we had were Seychelles but as we're only going for a week we'd rather not have more than one flight to get there.

Any specific hotel recommendations (4* plus) also gratefully received! Doesn't have to be child free but would rather not go somewhere that had kids clubs etc as we are looking for some peace and quiet and chilled atmosphere.

Greece is still hot in September. There are some gorgeous places away from the very touristy spots, if that's what you want. I loved Samos, but even on the bigger/better known islands you can always find a lovely spot.

Cavtat in Croatia is also gorgeous, and close to Dubrovnik for a day/night out. It's a stunning place.

Meant to say... there's a small town beach... 17km Patara Beach 20 mins away/Kaputas Beach 10 mins away - all different/stunning

Thank you for these ideas! For some reason DP keeps turning his nose up at Greek Islands - I am not sure what the issue is, I love the Greek Islands!

Croatia could be good, too, I've been to Dubrovnik but no further afield than that.

I'm sure BA fly direct to The Seychelles now. We went and stayed at the Banyan Tree resort. It was magical & I highly recommend it!

Seconded for the Seychelles, most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. Think you can get a direct flight for around £500 now

Le Sport in St Lucia. We always go in September and have beautiful weather. Fantastic food, no children, wonderful spa and treatments. If you are sporty plenty to take part in, otherwise just relax.
