My DD has her grade 2 exam today. She felt it went well BUT she's absolutely devastated because she didn't announce the scene/character for each piece. She was a bit thrown as the examiner didn't ask her for it like they did last time.

She's been crying all the way back from the exam. I've tried consoling her but nothing is working - she's beating herself up about it, bless her.

Will this make a difference to the overall mark awarded? If so, how much? She's even convinced herself she's going to fail

my dd did a similar thing at a higher grade (grade 5) - she announced the title of her friend's poem instead of hers. It didn't make much difference to her overall mark- and she still got distinction. not sure if that was much help but tell her not to stress- i would think it's very unlikely to fail over such a small mistake x

@sleepismysuperpower1

Thank you so much for your reply. It is, of course, the end of the world for my DD Confused.

She got a distinction last time and so was desperate to get one this time too. She's not feeling too good today anyway so don't think she was on the ball...it doesn't matter to us one jot what she gets but to her it matters greatly, poor sausage.
