Adult food or children’s food?

What do you think? Smile

In 2019, who eats boxed cereal for breakfast? Seriously?

Er, judging by the extensive cereal aisle in supermarkets a lot of people. What's so strange about eating cereal in 2019? Is Soylent Green the breakfast of choice now and no one told me?

SignOnTheWindow · 07/07/2019 22:46

@ThePinkCushion did you know there is a real meal replacement drink called Soylent? Properly off-putting!

dudsville · 07/07/2019 22:53

Generally, neither. But also, sometimes an adult late night snack item.

ThePinkCushion · 07/07/2019 22:58

I didn't SignOnTheWindow. Shock I think I'll be avoiding that.

ThePinkCushion · 07/07/2019 23:00

Cereal is the best late night snack, besides leftover takeaway. I can't look at food before 12 so I don't eat breakfast but Cornflakes taste so good with ice cold milk when eaten in the evening.

My son and I.
And thousands of others I should imagine, going by the choice in Tesco.

Katinski · 07/07/2019 23:50

Nothing else hits the spot when you've got the late night munchies after a sesh at the pub than a bowl of cornflakes with milk.
Children don't have seshes at the pub ergo cornflakes are adult foodGrin

Mominatrix · 08/07/2019 13:23

What is adult food and what is children food? Isn’t food just Food?

Spidey66 · 08/07/2019 14:10

Either but has to be Kelloggs.

EnidButton · 08/07/2019 14:12

No food is children only food.

I mean mashed up baby food maybe but otherwise, it's just food.

Spidey66 · 08/07/2019 14:13

And of course people eat boxed cereal for breakfast.

MN is weird sometimes. Often people think the only way to live is their own, and that noone thinks differently to them.

gamerwidow · 08/07/2019 14:13

Well they were invented to stop people wanking so I’m going for teens and adults as the core demographic.

Gosh Gamer

Mominatrix I do have ‘kiddie’ food separated out in my head. I’d be a bit surprised to find an adult eating chicken nuggets for their dinner. Might be just me!

DogbertDogglesworth · 08/07/2019 21:25

Both.
Especially if liberally sprinkled onto and baked with a giant jam tart.

DogbertDogglesworth · 08/07/2019 21:29

How else would my cereal come? @miljah 😕

DogbertDogglesworth · 08/07/2019 21:30

I sometimes eat chicken nuggets for lunch @biscuitDrama 😛

BiscuitDrama · 08/07/2019 21:32

Lunch? That’s just crazy. Grin

They are amazing. I could demolish a box easily. I used to eat them with hot milk years ago....

llangennith · 08/07/2019 21:40

Love cornflakes and cold milk at any time.
Kellogg's are best but Tesco's own brand are ok too. Last week I was in Sainsbury's and thought I'd try theirs. Horrible!😬
