Up until 6pm it was a normal boring Saturday, then we heard the news that a mate which we only knew through Fb had taken his own life at the age of 47. At 6.15pm we had a call that another friend had passed away this one we expected as he came home on Thursday (cancer) he again was only 52.
We have just been talking between ourselves and since we retired 2 years ago,we have been to 9 funerals. Out of these only 2 were older than us. It puts life into perspective.
Everyone will leave this earth sometime, we just don't know when.

sorry to hear OP Flowers

Life is so precious and sometimes it only becomes apparent when you hear of things like this.
I have a very unwell relative atm they were perfectly fine one day and the next have sepsis and the odds are not in their favour at all
It really makes you think that the things we worry about day to day are just little worries and we just need to enjoy every moment we have
