Can someone please answer this burning question?

Where the heck does this little nubbin go on frozen peas? I have never noticed them on the frozen variety but as I’m scoffing a bag of podding peas, they all have a nubbin when you click them out of the pod.

Maybe it shrivels up when they freeze them?

I have no idea but you do sometimes find them in bags of supermarket economy ones. Likewise stalks on value raisins.
