Help! Holiday phone problem!

I have lost my mobile phone on holiday. Am travelling to Latvia tomorrow. How easy will it be to buy a Pay as you go phone in Latvia to use while I'm abroad? I need a phone to keep in touch with my work in the UK while I'm away. Panicking much! Thanks for any advice anyone can offer.

ask at your hotel? they usually can help with things like that. I would assume that you could get a cheap payg in a shop.

tbh forget about work. you are on holiday. how can you switch off if you are in contact?

I'm in an apartment in Latvia so will speak to the apartment owner about where to get phone.

Not on contract on old phone. Only Giffgaff. So no worries regarding that.

I think most places you'll be able to buy a cheap phone and sim.

Obviously I'm taking this from my extensive experience of crime thriller tv shows not real life!
