Got a money off voucher through the post today, very exciting Grin

What are the best things to buy from there (online)? Preferably healthy, though the odd treat won't hurt I guess..

The seafood antipasti selection
Not healthy but their creamy dips are amazing! In a 3 pack
Duck eggs
Lots of the spice pastes are really interesting and make for quick and flavourful meals. I’m currently obsessed with the zhoug paste on lamb/chicken and roasted.
Duchy unhomogonised milk is delicious
Fresh san marzano tomatoes
Alvalle gazpacho
The prime salmon fillet (500g) is the best I’ve had from a supermarket
Waitrose 1 milk chocolate with pistachios, almond and hazelnuts (get 2 bars!)
Their fish/butcher counters are great and do interesting cuts of meat and nice shellfish. Plus if you get a Friday delivery the fish is 20% off.
Their own brand full sugar lemonade is divine.

If you have a cat, their 'terrines rich in...' six packs are really high quality, with 14% meat/fish rather than the standard 4% (look at the ingredients list, even on the luxury brands like Sheba it's still only 4%). The terrines are cheaper per kg than the sachets and are 100% recyclable being packed in only cardboard and foil, no plastics at all. So win win win! I think they were £1.69 for six last time I bought them, which was last weekend.

From Waitrose I like making ‘healthy’ (not really - but better than Dominos!) by getting a Crosta and Mollica wood fired pizza base then adding their own brand chicken with lemon and garlic slices/ Napoli salami/ grilled artichokes/ black olives and half fat Mozzarella. Oh and some sweet corn (own brand unsweetened).

The custard filled profiteroles are heaven

Meat is great quality.
Fruit is great too- their strawberries last so well and are very tasty.

Raspberries - nicer than anyone else’s
Waitrose 1 chocolate
De caffeinated tea bags
Pig cheeks (but I don’t think available at this time of year)

Their coleslaw is lovely. They used to do a low fat version but discontinued it for some reason.

Not food, but their eco cleaning range is great.

Emmi Fondue which Sainsbury’s stopped stocking,

Yeo. Valley fruit compote

Raspberry mullerice

No one else seems to sell these

I also love £1 grand rustique bread all their other bread is ridiculous prices

Sugarplumfairyfartface · 07/07/2019 11:27

Do u ever wonder if it is the supermarket marketing team asking these questions so they can say "as recommended on mumsnet"

Sugarplumfairyfartface · 07/07/2019 11:31

Although if they don't use these tactics they should because this post has made me fancy gazpacho and will be trying their version! I can recommend their artichokes in olive oil and practically everything especially raspberry and rose tart yum!

I wish we had Waitrose in Ireland Smile
