We're hoping to move to Great Malvern later this year, but one thing's concerning me. Last time we visited there were loads of English flags and Union Jacks flying and a couple of conversations we overhead were extremely pro Brexit . I'm now worried that we're going to move here and discover they're not 'our sort' of people. I'm sure there's a mix, as everywhere, but the town centre just seemed to be overrun with Boris supporters - please reassure me I'm wrong as we love everything else about the area. Thanks to any locals who can help.

There are a mix of people there. A sizeable proportion are elderly, true blue. Think Proms and Edward Elgar. Lots of nice, sociable, balanced people too.

Hi there! I live in Malvern, we are not all Boris supporters, I promise!!
There is a decent mix of people here, it’s the kind of place you can walk back home at 1 in the morning and not really worry (as I did last night!)
It’s mostly quiet but there is the theatre which has a little cinema in it. The nags head is a busy pub which is good for ales if that’s your thing!!
Do let me know if you want to know anything about schools, mine at primary about to go into secondary in the next few years so I know a bit about most!! X

What I would also say is the further up into the hills you get - west Malvern- there is a definite hippy vibe!

Phew, thanks everyone. Good to be reassured.

There may be some Brexiters here, and it's got a tory MP, but there's a large group of us remainers here too! Two coaches went to the last People's Vote March in London. And I agree, West Malvern is a bit hippy with lots of Green voters. There's all sorts here, so I wouldn't worry. Plenty of Malvern/Worcestershire facebook groups for all sorts of subjects, so you can find out what's going on locally. Happy to give any info you need

Quite local and I’d definitely give Great Malvern a miss. Malvern Link better or one of the nearby villages.

Thanks for the local info. We do like the areas near the Link common and would be happy to have the Nags Head as our local!
