Hotel recommendations near Wokingham, ascot or Hampshire

It's my partners birthday and want to take him somewhere nice. He's working in Wokingham so was thinking there or close by but we will in Hampshire so anywhere in between.

Want luxury but not hideously priced. Willing to pay upto £160 a night.

St Anne's Manor, the Berystede and the royal Berkshire are all very nice. But it's a pricey area depending on the events obviously if Ascot is on then the price rockets. Aviator in Farnborough and Penny hill if you could stretch to a suite, the basic rooms are fine but overpriced.

Try The Elvetham just outside Fleet? Really lovely hotel, have used it for work conferences

Abibranning · 05/07/2019 18:01

Oh yeah love Elvetham too

You could go to the Hotel du Vin in Henley - bit if a drive but Henley’s lovely (I think it's Regatta this week though so don’t try and book for this weekend!)

stillworkingitout · 05/07/2019 18:36

That’s a shame. It’s a very popular wedding venue and not very big so not that surprising. It’s a really lovely hotel though with beautiful grounds if you ever get the chance

mamma2016 · 05/07/2019 18:44

Tynley hall- Hampshire, big Manor House, indoor and outdoor pool, huge grounds.

CoraPirbright · 05/07/2019 19:17

Four seasons at Dogmersfield?

Chocolou · 05/07/2019 21:17

Four seasons is a little out of my price range.

Stirrups hotel in Bracknell looks ok if you have a suite.

When are you looking at going ?

acatcalledjohn · 06/07/2019 20:15

Perhaps go a little further and head to Windsor, either the MacDonald or the Harte & Garter.

I do also agree with the PP suggestion of the Berystede in Ascot. Coworth Park is lovely too (food in The Barn there is wonderful).

DIKateFleming · 06/07/2019 20:26

Malmaison in Reading? It’s central Reading but was a nice hotel (not been in a few years)

The Elephant at Panbourne?

TheFaerieQueene · 06/07/2019 20:27

Hotel du Vin in Henley. It is only 20 mins drive from Wokingham.

Chocolou · 06/07/2019 20:30

16 July so quite soon!!

Mill house looks nice.
