Getting the wind knocked out of you... it came rushing back to me last night when DS 20 months wanted to jump on my bed! All I could think of was when me and my sister would jump on my mums bed (knowing we weren’t allowed) and I fell off and landed on the hardwood floor on my back.. my sister went in to mass panic and was saying (whilst I was winded) don’t tell mum, don’t tell mum or we will get in trouble.Blush I remember trying to shout for help but physically not being able to get the breath to do it! I laugh looking back but I had seriously forgotten all about it and how terrifying the feeling was! The other time I remember doing it on a Helter Skelter ride and the force pushed me back and took the wind out of me again! It’s one of them things I never want to experience again but I’m also quite intrigued to remember how it feels haha!

Every time I fell off one of my ponies/horses growing up.

It's terrifying isn't it, especially the first time it happens.

I was trying to leapfrog a post in town while my mum was in a shop. It was higher than the last one and I underestimated it. My trousers got caught on the top and I fell flat on my front, knocking the wind out of me. I thought I was dying lol

Gosh I'd forgotten all about that, I fell off a wall when I was about 8 and like you, I fell flat on my back. I couldn't take a breath in for ages and honestly thought I would die.

Yes I thought I was going to die too the first time. Blush

Surprisingly though I can’t remember if it was painful or not or if I just couldn’t breathe
