iPad, Spotify, aaaaargh! Help me!

I was listening to some stuff on Spotify, heard enough of it and tried to stop it and get it to play something else but no, it won't oet me. I have logged in and out, I have closed Spotify and reopened it, I can't think of anything else I can do short of turning the ipad off altogether!

It'll pause it if I hit that button, but nowhere can I find a way tomake stop playing Claude bloody Vivier! Everytime I open Spotify it has the 'now playing...' bit at the bottom and it's Claude everytime, half way through the album.

I'll get something else up but it won't play it. Do I have to listen to this for the rest of my life?! Nowhere can I find a 'stop' button, but I could put him in my favourites if i wanted (I don't now, funnily enough!).

That's normal that the last song played is always at the bottom when opened up even paused. To play a different song search for another and click it to play, I'm guessing you've played a song directly from the artists page and now its going through all his songs

That's right, I was. I was clicking on the song I wanted but nothing happened, it just kept on playing the other one.

Thanks for posting! It stopped being annoying last night and actually played the song I wanted in the end, no idea why it wouldn't do it earlier.
