I have seen an arm chair for sale it's 94cm x 95cm x 70cm. I have measured my boot (touran). 2.5m long but only 90cm wide and tall at widest, tallest points. Will I get the chair in the boot?

@nevernotstruggling did it fit?

HeronLanyon · 05/07/2019 06:40

Oh yes had forgotten this. Is op stuck/wedged under it ? Do we need to summon help? Or did the armchair turn into a chair/stool with the use of saws to get it in ?
Hope it’s sorted op.

Take old sheets/blankets and some rope in case you need to tie the boot half shut or something.

There was a very similar thread where a the OP was asking if a sofa would fit through the front door .
So I think someone needs to invent something that can be made into lots of different shapes and sizes.
It would be lightweight and easy to assemble with clear measurements marked on it .
It would come in packs of small , coffee tables book cases etc , medium dinning tables desks armchairs washers and large sofas beds fridges etc.
You can fasten as many bits together as you need using wing nuts so no tools required, to make the shape size you need .
It would not be used just to see if things can fit in you car / through door / upstairs but also how much space they take up once insitu , I have found things look much bigger at home than they do in a show room >>>> glares at coffee table

You could just take some rope/bungee cords and tie the boot door down?
