I despair sometimes...

This is just a rant really because I’m still cross about an incident that happened today..
I was on a school trip at a big theme park with my year 6 kids (10 year olds).
We were at the front of the queue for a ride and it was nearly their turn to get on. It was very busy and noisy so I had to raise my voice so they could all hear me give instructions about where to leave their rucksacks
There was a group of teens, about 15/16yo standing by us and one of them shouted across to me ‘you don’t have to fucking shout’ which was ironic seeing as she was shouting at me.
I replied calmly saying that I had to raise my voice in order for them all to hear me and there was no need to swear at me, especially in front of the children and other families nearby.
She barged past the kids and squared up to me and started saying ‘I’ll fucking swear if I want, who do you fucking think you are’
I was literally gobsmacked! They seemed to be alone, no teacher or adult with them, and the ride staff who were supervising the queue were busy and out of earshot.
I wanted to give this little madam a real piece of my mind or report her to the staff, but obviously I didn’t as I had my kids with me who were starting to look frightened.
So instead I just turned away and at that point the ride operators started calling us forward to board the ride.
She continued to rant and swear to her friends (who were telling her to leave it) as we got on the ride.
I just despair that she was so rude and aggressive and confrontational, especially in front of younger children. I hate that some kids like that end up giving teenagers a bad name in general.
Rant over!

Can't be many year 6s who are still 10, surely?

Anyhoo, big mouths usually meet their comeuppance when they pick on the wrong person.

There were a couple of 11 year olds in the group, but most of them are the younger summer born kids, so yes they are still 10
