How often do you report threads?

Just that really. Sometimes I see something and report because I am not sure; often if it's an obvious troll I don't report because I know others will and I don't want to look like a serial reporter!

As often as I feel necessary. I never assume someone else has just in case they haven't!

sacope · 03/07/2019 09:41

If no one has said I will report, there are often people on threads that will say right out or indicate they have reported. I just leave those!

Never, I just scroll on.

I just think that if a report means there's fewer trolls around here that has to be a good thing...

Damntheman · 03/07/2019 11:02

I don't bother reporting trolls, but I will report transphobia or obvious bigotry because that's really repugnant. Untrue drama stories I can live with :)

Spinnaret · 03/07/2019 11:12

Quite regularly. The more reports MN receive on any problematic thread, the quicker they respond. Not bothered if I am seen as a serial reporter, rather than than ignore something that is causing upset and drama.

Rememberallball · 03/07/2019 12:13

I use it sometimes if a thread would be better placed in another part of the site (a post not related to pregnancy on pregnancy board or such thing) and if I see obvious spam posts late at night - usually promoting some miracle infertility snake oil cure or promoting a particular fertility clinic which, if you were to google them, isn’t covered by any regulation!!

I always report blatant advertising, it's just the obvious trolls I tend to leave out because I think Mumsnet get lots of similar report. I never considered they would prioritise mass reports Blush
