I bloody hate them. Vegan January, plastic free July etc etc. So what do these people do the rest of the year? Eat veal and wallow in plastic but that's ok, cos they did my bit for a few days.Angry

Makes my buggery blood boil ffs and my period is nearly due

I think these things can be really good actually. I did dry January once and never touched a drop of alcohol again - that was a few years ago. For a lot of people these things won't have much impact, but for some they will encourage real changes. It did for me. I can't even begin to tell you how much I realised about myself and my alcohol consumption by going with the 'trend'. It was a genuine life changer.

I think it’s quite useful actually- if you give up booze in January that’s 1 month out of 12 a year- that’s quite a lot isn’t it? It’s probably still beneficial to their wellbeing
