Help! Large hats for large heads!

I desperately need a sun hat for a hot holiday this year! I've never bothered before because my head is so huge I can't get one to fit, but recently had a cancer scare so need to take things seriously.

My head is 24cm or 61 inches. All the ones I've found that I like don't go up to my size and the ones in my size look like they're designed for men

Any ideas?

Ps I think you have muddled your cm and inches! If swap the 2 numbers you are a large and this site has sun hats for women up to xxl

I do mean 24 inches and 61cm

I looked at that site MrsPear and all their pretty sun hats don’t get any larger than 58

There's a company called Tumia who do really great Panama & Fedora hats up to about 63cm.

I have a massive head - Christmas dinner is always spent with a broken paper crown 😞.Last year I bought a lovely mans panama straw hat from a national trust shop which fitted beautifully and disappeared on the plane on the way home

I just buy men’s ones. I got a nice one from HM

My sun hat was also from the men's dept at h and m.

I have a big head. Last summer I discovered these and now I have several.

If you’re not budget limited, I think the best hats are by tilley and they come in sizes. Very ££ though.

I went to a local independent hat shop last year and bought a panama, they had several types in a big range of sizes. I love it, it fits perfectly, is breathable, goes
with whatever you are wearing, stays on unless it's really windy. To take it on holiday I put it in my case and packed round it.

Can't you roll up Panama hats?

My granddaughter has a large head, always has since being tiny.
When she was 4/5 years old we had a snowy winter and she really needed a hat. My wife bought her a lovely hat with ear flaps and faux fur trim aged 14 years.
Brought it home and she couldn't get it on!
I bought some really chunky wool and knitted her a fabulous pull on hat, (if she wouldn't be so cross I would share a picture as she really did look gorgeous).

We always tell her it's to fit her large and capable brain, she is a very talented and bright girl.

Supposedly you can roll them up but I didn't want to risk it.

The only place I have been able to find a hat that fits my big noggin is at lamood big hats.

I have a massive head and recently got a Tilley hat. The 8+. It’s actually a little roomy but I like that because I can have a pony tail.

I've just bought this as I, too, have a very large head and usually need a man's size for a hat to fit properly. I managed to buy it in pink. It needed to fold as I'm taking it on holiday in my suitcase.

I can't remember which PP suggested a visor? That would be no good for me as it wouldn't protect the top of my head.

I swapped the lace for a flower band I picked up on holiday so made it a bit 'pretty'
