Passive aggressive class WhatsApp messages

Why is there always one mother on the school WhatsApp group who is an arsehole?
You know the judgy one who always knows best? The one who has all the answers and who is so far up the headteachers arse she needs to be surgically removed?
Never met her husband (actually think he might be a figment if her imagination) but if he's real my god the man is a saint!!!
Hit me with your similar experiences!!

@IvanaPee spot on! Self awareness is something this one definitely lacks 😂

We've got a year 1 WhatsApp group....and a sub group. There's a couple of alpha females in the class group and some people were a bit intimidated. The subgroup is really friendly and we can chat without judgement about anything.

My dds schools have apps with all info on them. In addition info is on Twitter and my younger dds teacher uses Seesaw which is helpful. No need for a group

Ah I see Livingthedream12345 - in my case, the queen bees were all in the sub group because they were relentlessly cliquey and needed to feel exclusive Grin

@babyno5 - I don’t think I’m the person you’re talking about actually. I’m far too disorganised to be doing world book day. I’m the one who moans about school’s inability to communicate properly

GetUpAgain · 03/07/2019 10:31

I don't have a problem with lots of people replying with thanks or thumbs up to a coach, when you are running something as a volunteer you do want to know your message has been seen and the kids will be there on time/with kit or whatever. I see that as supporting not irritating?

BertrandRussell · 03/07/2019 10:36

Yep- all those passive aggressive cows organising things and keeping everyone else updated with what’s going on so there’s somewhere you can check when Roman Day is. What utter, utter bitches.

alittlebitdemented · 03/07/2019 10:55

@GetUpAgain If the manager wanted responses, he would say. If he didn't ask, there was no need. The swipe facility on WhatsApp means he could see who had read the message and who hadn't. Easier than checking for 25 👍🏼, I'd think. Most of the mums did it so I accept I was in the minority. I'm equally irked by those that do a Reply All to emails when there is NO NEED. So maybe I am the issue and I absolutely fine with that. Smile

BertrandRussell · 03/07/2019 11:05

It is a pain in the neck if you’re not sure all the team’s parents have for the message. Because they will sure as hell deny it even if they’ve read it!

MargotsFlounceyBlouse · 03/07/2019 11:14

I used to be on one but had to leave, purely as the only other person I WhatsApp is my boyfriend and I didn't want to accidentally send a saucy text to the local mums. It was handy but constant reminders for things I already knew about was a bit irritating and it got rather bitchy, there were a few mums who were if the opinion a certain teacher was crap and I didn't like the element of piling on when I didn't have a problem with them.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 05/07/2019 10:49

Bertrand. Some messages are helpful, and some aren't! Grin
