Passive aggressive class WhatsApp messages

Why is there always one mother on the school WhatsApp group who is an arsehole?
You know the judgy one who always knows best? The one who has all the answers and who is so far up the headteachers arse she needs to be surgically removed?
Never met her husband (actually think he might be a figment if her imagination) but if he's real my god the man is a saint!!!
Hit me with your similar experiences!!

@definitelyshouldknowbetter is it wrong to hope her DD turns into a wild child? 😂

@Sarahjconnor could you quietly leave? Then if anyone asks jst play innocent and claim to have no knowledge of leaving, might buy you a few weeks peaceGrin

definitelyshouldknowbetter · 02/07/2019 22:24

@babyno5 absolutely not! Who could blame the child, if it’s a choice between following mums footsteps or rebellion I’d go rebellion every time too! Much more funGrin

MyGastIsFlabbered · 02/07/2019 22:26

I think we need examples of the PA messages OP...you know, to really judge!

To my shame I'm a member of 3 WA groups with parents from the same class...how this happened I'm not really sure 🤔

GetUpAgain · 02/07/2019 22:27

We have a Y7 class WhatsApp and its brilliant - a few parents have older kids and help us clueless ones out!

sheshootssheimplores · 02/07/2019 22:28

We have a Facebook class group with thankfully zero arseholes 👍

GroggyLegs · 02/07/2019 22:36

Our year group WA chat is ok, no bitching and very useful for reminders for the endless requests for £1/ cakes/sponsor ship/yoghurt pots/ shoeboxes/ t-shirts of a specific colour/ ridiculous homework where a 5yo is supposed to craft a 3d planet with string blah blah

But the negative replies to 'has anyone seen Tiffany's cardigan. It's green' (no shit) drive me to drink.
'no hun'
'not here's
'Not here hun'
'sorry hun'
'ive checked, not here'
'have you checked lost property'

20 odd messages.

YOU ONLY NEED TO POST IF YOU'VE FOUND IT. THATS THE RULE.

LittleWalnutTree · 02/07/2019 22:38

I see your class WhatsApp and your ukelele and netball and all manner of other WhatsApps and trump the lot of you with a Bonsai WhatsApp Grin

They keep pestering me but I don't do WhatsCrapp or InstantFlan and judging from all the stuff I'm reading on here I am going to stick to my guns...

LittleMissWeary · 02/07/2019 22:40

Love my yr2 dc class Facebook page, and the WhatsApp group is inoffensive.

But, my 2yo (private nursery) WhatsApp group is beyond tedious!

definitelyshouldknowbetter · 02/07/2019 22:45

GroggyLegs that’s exactly the sort of shit that pisses me off, don’t message for the sake of it, only if you’re being useful is the rules
LittleWalnutTree please please enlighten me on Bonsai group?😂

babyno5 · 02/07/2019 22:53

@MyGastIsFlabbered I wish I could but would be far too outing 😂😂

Absolutely loving these!

Back in the olden days when my kids were at primary school, (teenagers now, but there was no whatsapp back then) I think I may have been THAT parent posting all the "useful" info

I used to get regular texts and calls,( yes, actual phone calls), about dress up/dress down days/school trips/sponsored walks/ cake sales etc etc

Oh, I would have LOVED a WhatsApp group but I fear it would have been me trying to organise all you lovely ladies.

Sorry x x

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 02/07/2019 23:00

baby you wouldn't believe the politics. Don't get me started on the Dropbox access for the music. Every now and then people get culled in a fit of pique by one of the admins. Someone accidently deleted a load of files once and I thought the were going to set up the fucking stool at the local lake to find the culprit..

Haworthia · 02/07/2019 23:00

When my PFB started Reception there was a class FB group and that was quite nice/useful. Although perhaps a bit too nice - like announcing a child has chicken pox and then having ten women reply “aww” “poor George” “wish him better from Jack” etc etc.

Then, a year or so later, I discovered there was a secret WhatsApp group for invited guests only. I’m sure there was some mean girls chat going on.

I’m surprised to hear about so many sub groups on WhatsApp bitching about the main class WhatsApp. I mean I’m not entirely surprised... and now I’m wondering whether there’s a sub group bitching about me because I send a “head lice alert!” message the other week.

babyno5 · 02/07/2019 23:00

@Gottalovesummer that's sad you missed out 😂😂. Sad for you not the other mothers 😂😂 xx

Oh goodness. That should have read ducking stool, not f###cking stool 😳

GreigLaidlawsbarofsoap · 02/07/2019 23:09

Haha @SpongeBobJudgeyPants I always think if someone's phone autocorrects TO fucking rather than the twee ducking version, they are obviously my kind of sweary person Grin

babyno5 · 02/07/2019 23:10

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants oh my god I can't breathe 🤣🤣🤣

I used to be in a football team WhatsApp group and EVERY time the manager posted anything giving us any information, at least ten mums (always the mums) posted a 👍🏼. It boiled my piss.

marcopront · 02/07/2019 23:27

I teach in an International school which my daughter attends. At the school we are at now there is no WhatsApp group but at the previous school there was. The phrase more money than sense could have been invented for some of the Mums there.
Every so often they world meet for coffee, this would require major discussion on the date, with someone not being able to make each date mentioned. Then somebody would suggest let's make it a particular date and if you can't make it, it's OK. On the day there would be messages saying I'm running late, etc or I'll be there soon. One time three hours after they were due to meet someone posted I'll be there in five minutes.

IvanaPee · 02/07/2019 23:34

@stillworkingitout

I think that’s probably me

Why do you think that? I can’t imagine the type OP is posting about (my dd’s class has 6 of them) are self-aware enough to recognize it!

superram · 02/07/2019 23:34

@babyno5 I’ve been on a class WhatsApp today which was all a bit awkward. It’s usually just spellings.....

superram · 02/07/2019 23:35

@ivanapee I’m now worried it’s me!

babyno5 · 02/07/2019 23:44

Ha @superram no spellings on our one today-it's not you! Lol xx
