Just started and gave figured out I need to make it with milk not water AND a banana to make it filling! But does seem a good alternative to buying pre- packed sandwiches etc for lunch, just worried I'll actually gain weight on it!!!

I tried it but it’s rather thin and grainy compared to other protein shakes. Can make a decent gluten free brownie with it though!

It is amazing if you want a vegan, quick nutrition source.

Quite a few people I know do eihter lunch ,or breakfast nad lunch on it. DP was an early adopter.

Suits people who are busy and not actually that bothered about food.

You really need a blender to give it a quick blitz to get it not grainy.

Personally I like eating too much to transition over for meals, but find the bars a useful form of decent nutrition (not as good as the powder) if I'm out and can't get food like at the climbing gym or something,

Oh, btw it is common for your gut to take a little bit of time to adjust. you need to give it a good run.

Also re the feeling full - try chewing gum after to stimulate saliva and digestion process and that helps your body think its 'eaten'

Yes I've just dusted off the blender, else you have to shake for AGES.

Do they have it in vanilla? I'd like to try it but seems expensive

tinierclanger · 03/07/2019 17:34

I don't think you need milk. I just put a banana and it's fine. I don't feel "full" afterwards but I don't feel hungry either. Which is more the point I think Smile

I take it to work (student nurse). Quick to prepare in the morning, helps me stay hydrated, and I can down it in under 2 minutes if I don't have time for a break.

I tried out the mint chocolate flavour, it was fine but I prefer the vanilla. The flavour boosts can add a bit of variety if you get bored. I like the cacoa and the matcha best. Or you can add sugar-free coffee flavouring syrups (I have a nice cinnamon one).

Tried almond milk today which I think I will stock too as far fewer calories and less dairy bloat!
