Working away....

I am currently 32 weeks and I am working until 38 weeks. The last few weeks of work has me travelling over an hour from home. I can take my time and have plenty of stops but do you think it is ok to be that far away from home so close to my DD? Would be great to hear your thought.
Thanks Sam

Is that by choice or is it a business necessity?

My job has me on the road all year round. If I said I couldn’t do it I would be office found which is about a 45 minute drive. I might go out of my mind having 2/3 weeks in the office.

Things to think about - if you went into labour on site, would there be someone to get you to the nearest maternity unit, store your car and would someone be able to pick your car up from there? Would babys dad/family etc be able to get to that unit?

If thats OK, why not - I had my ds the week that I'd been an hours train journey from home all week. He was born at 35 weeks, and it was a scramble for dh to get home (2 hours away, phone turned off in meetings).
