Hi,just a quick question as I’m wondering if anyone else has been told this by their midwife?
This is my first pregnancy.
I had a routine appointment with my midwife last Wednesday and I was 38+6(now 39+5).
Everything was perfect at the appointment however the midwife said I shall book you in next week for an appointment but she then said I might not even see you at your next appointment as you might have had baby by then,I was also told that baby was 3/5 head down so I’m wondering if that’s a hint that labour could be close as iv started to have more and more what I think is labour symptoms.
I would really appreciate if anyone can help me.
Thank you!!!

You are already classed as full term.
She is saying your baby could come any time now.
This is normal and I presume you knew this would happen?Grin
Hope all goes well!

FYI I was told this with my first and he was around 2 weeks overdue.

Unfortunately nobody can predict when baby will come and they will need to make an appointment just in case you haven't given birth but you are classed as being full term from 37 weeks and could go into labour at any time

I imagine she says this to most patients at your gestation, rather than there being something specifically about your pregnancy. Good luck!
