Noticed the Sun are doing the token things - we've never done it but am tempted only 3 of us - open to suggestions
on the BEST ones to go for?

We try and book Parkdean Ruda or West Bay. We would (and have!) pay full price for a holiday at either of those, so if we can get them cheaper it is worth it.

So why do you like these sites?

Should of said DS is 14 a teenager so it's just for a break away if we can get one of the parks

Sorry for delay, internet has been playing up all day.

Ruda - I like it because it's on the beach, it's spotlessly clean and there's a good pool. DS is 19 and it's his favourite holiday in the UK. There's nice pubs and a pretty village within a short stroll from the park; if you are into walking there are lovely coastal walks. The caravans are all decent, we haven't had a bad one even without upgrading.

West Bay - it's in the centre of the harbour and shopping area, so pubs easy to walk to, nice scenery, well maintained, relaxing. Less driving to do because you can buy what you need in Bridport without having to leave. DS enjoys crab fishing in the harbour. We have only had the upgraded vans there but they were OK, more like the "cheap seats" at Ruda though than the upgraded ones there.

We usually book the Haven ones in the North West and Yorkshire. The caravans are usually very modern and clean and locations are good. Although apparently no good if your coeliac!

Whatever you do, avoid Michaelstow in Cornwall. It's absolutely awful. Worst holiday ever - in the middle of nowhere, smelly, damp, nothing to do and just bleak.

Ruda is great. Always pay full price - didn't know you could go on a Sun deal. Can you use them in school holidays?

The village at Ruda is great and there's loads of stuff to do. The beach is great for body boarding and surfing if you're into that - you can book lessons for surfing.

vox not sure about summer hols but definitely May and October half terms, that's when we usually went while DS was at school because it was harder for DH to book time off in the summer - because he was in his 50s his managers assumed he wouldn't want school holidays off so he always was last to be approved after the younger colleagues.

Perran Sands would be our choice.
