When does a new job become bearable?

I'm into my third week and I'm not enjoying my new job at all. It's not just being the new person that doesn't know anything, it's the whole change of routine, no work friends yet, not sure what to do at lunchtime yet, have I made the right decision etc

Has anyone had a job where it just felt good from day 1?
I was in my last job for four years and the new job trauma seems to be worse than ever 😂

Dunno, I'm in exactly the same position tbh.

Colleague has been 'training' me and finally had her last day on Friday, so now I'm on my own. Not been the best as she's been on holiday for the past two weeks!

I'm starting to wish I'd just stayed in my old role, where I knew what was going on etc.

It takes a while. Sometimes you need to wait for the next new person to make you feel more of an old hand.

Try to chat to people, it makes it easier.

Commiserations @managedmis, doesn't sound like much of a training!
I still feel like I don't know anything, it's not great for the self esteem.

@Canulation I'm not good in situations like this...I try to be friendly and interested but I'm easily intimidated or put off. Still, I know it just takes time.
