I have a horse in a paddock near my house. New people in the village have ducks. Despite having a very nice pond for them, the ducks have decided they would far rather bathe and shit in the trough in my horse's field. I'm now having to clean and refill it every day (back breaking, wasteful) or it gets full of duck shit, corn, grit and feathers! I have a feeling horses can catch salmonella from ducks but that might be an old horsemans tale.
What are ducks scared of? As im going to buy a 4 foot version of it and put it by the trough.
