Sun burn on lips

I burnt my lower lip on Friday in the sun and am in agony. My own stupid fault I know. There are white blisters and it’s swollen. When I touch it with the tongue it stings and tastes metallic. I’ve been using aloe Vera but it’s so painful. Any suggestions?

Avoid putting anything greasy on it.

A cold compress such as a damp flannel will help soothe but pat dry carefully and don’t use ice.
