This thread is lighthearted
Hi all, I thought it would be funny to share our best fishwife moments.
Mine happened last week. A woman who lives near my parents shouted at my younger brother and his friends (my parents' next door neighbour's great grandchildren), so I ran into my parents' garden, and screamed like a fishwife about phoning the police, and how I was coming over to do what the children won't, and how dare she shout at the children. My parents' neighbour's daughter and granddaughter had been arguing with the woman because of how she spoke to the children, and my parents' neighbour and her other daughter had been standing at their back door to see what had happened, when I stormed out of my parents' back door and into the garden while shouting. (I had been watching from the kitchenette window). My mother almost bodily lifted me took me into the house to calm down. What's your best fishwife moment?

When the students next door were having one of their 1am gatherings of twenty people, all talking and laughing loudly, and we had already knocked on their front door to ask for quiet, I banged on the non-soundproofed wall, and screamed at the top of my voice "what part of shut the fuck up do you not understand!!" Our cats ran out of the room in fright Sad, and there was a stunned silence from next door. I also disposed of some mouldy yogurt in the fridge by throwing it over one of their cars, and if they'd been in the back garden I would have got the hose out. They were quiet for a while after that, but it wasn't the last time they did it (after an even worse incident, we got their landlord and university involved, with some success).

A few years ago I was in a virtually deserted car park when some knobhead decided to pull in and stop right in front of me, meaning I had to reverse out of my space rather than just pulling forward. Admittedly it wasn't much of a hardship but it was the evening before a huge court case and I was a bit stressed already.

Anyway I asked him very politely if he'd move forwards a bit so I could pull out. He refused and made some comment about me, I forget what now. I just saw red and ended up shouting, swearing and ranting at him. It wasn't my finest hour. Blush
