So far Ive mixed good quality mince beef with raw onion and salt and pepper.

Do I just fry them then in oven perhaps?

I use 10% fat decent quality mince. And that’s it.

Divide mince into patties and squish a bit so they stay together, then fry until brown on each side and pink in the middle. Serve inside bun or (better) toasted pitta bread.

We always have ketchup so that provides salt and seasoning. DH sometimes adds fried red onion and/or cheese.

I’m a burger purist I guess...

Half beef mince, half pork mince, chopped onion and one egg to bind, you don't want them to crumble
Split mixture in half then split the half into four patties size portions
Some recipes add Jacob crackers but I don't bother

Mince and seasoning of choice.

Put it into a burger press (£2.99 from Tesco) so they are all a uniform size.

In the fridge for 30 minutes before cooking so they hold their shape. Then under the grill or onto the bbq.

Delicious.
