Milk Frothers & Asda George Pod Coffee Machine

2 questions.
Can you recommend your milk frother? Would you recommend going for the ones that heat the milk as well as froth it, or would I do with the manual frothing thingymebob and heat the milk in the microwave? They're a heck of a lot cheaper in fairness!

The Asda George pod machine is £60 and compatible with Nespresso pods - Question - is it also compatible with Lidl's pods?

TIA!

I’ve bought all sorts of milk fritters over the years but this is the best

www.lavazza.co.uk/en/accessories/milk-frothers/milkup.html

I bought it to replace my Velvetiser which was ok but this is much better.

Ok thanks - bit pricey for my range unfortunately.

Instead of the Asda machine I'd get this: www.amazon.co.uk/Nespresso-Inissia-Machine-Aeroccino-Magimix/dp/B00J4K32WK/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_79_t_2?psc=1&_encoding=UTF8&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&refRID=BKP4Q3TJ0PTYN0Z5FFZG

It comes with a milk frother which is the simplest to use ever and produces really good frothed milk. And the machine is great too. Lidl pods work in it but they're not great - the L'Or aluminium pods are the best I've found.

Mine is built in to the Nespresso machine but you can buy them separately. It works quickly and froths really well. Very easy to rinse clean with its non stick lining.

I've used a Bodum manual frother but sent it to the charity shop as it was hard work and took too long for more that one coffee.

Thanks for the responses. I went ahead and ordered the Asda one before your other replies unfortunately! Think I'll see how I go with a manual frother - think you can get them in the pound shop!! and maybe splurge on the one Soola recommended at a later date when I'm feeling more flush.
Can't wait to have my first proper coffee now! I feel all grown up haha. #easily pleased
