I am so fucking stupid. We have a large house with 3 long-haired females & two cats, that & city dust, it gets filthy. So I decided to vacuum. I did one lot until the chamber was full. Went out, emptied it into the bin & cleaned the filter. Then I carried on. This time it sounded different but it still seemed to suck really well so I carried on & finished. Then I went out to empty the dirt box again, it was empty & the filter was not in place - it was sitting on the garden wall! Bollocks.

So I'm thinking 'Bollocks, where did all that dirt go?' Then I peered inside the one small hole to the motor - it's wrapped with our hair & all the dirt.. [cry] Wtf am I going to do now? I can't get to that bit. The screws to undo the whole thing require a special head & an extra long screwdriver. I'm not sure it's safe to use anymore. Ohhh, ffs. Anyone got any bright ideas?
