26 shots of whisky

I am not a drinker, but come on... it's impossible for a person to drink shots of cheap whisky (small shot glass) and not be dead or severely ill?
It's just a tall tale, isn't it?

Yes I would think it's possible and it probably wouldn't kill him, I've accidentally drank almost a full bottle of vodka when I was just pouring my own drinks at a house party without measuring and hadn't realised I was the only one drinking vodka and once already very merry the measures were getting bigger and bigger....but the next day I had a hangover from hell and couldn't even move my head without vomiting! So I wouldn't recommend it.

I've done the best part of a bottle of Southern Comfort before, just before I turned 18. It snowed on my head (knew I was going to puke so stuck head out of the front door and promptly passed out). Light dusting of snow everywhere except for the trail leading down the path from me which was pretty much pure alcohol.

It's nearly 25 years later and I still can't even smell Southern Comfort without wanting to vom.

Is he one of these huge rugby-playing twenty stone teens? Or a little willlow-stripling nine stoner?

It would make a difference. But my money is on 'had four drinks and lost the abiiity to count'.

Well drinking 650ml of spirit would generally not kill a regular drinking (under normal circumstances). But find it hard to believe someone doing 26 shots and drinking nothing else.

I did do it as a student. Vodka not whisky. Couldn't do it now and I wouldn't want to!

My brother did this with a fancy bottle of whisky my dad bought him for his 21st. All but about a drizzle in the bottom of the bottle, he passed out on the sofa, had a long lie in and a hangover from hell but otherwise fine.
He did drink with his friends quite a lot so maybe slightly used to alcohol, he couldn't do it now though.
