Massive thunderstorm!

Off the coast of Scotland right now. Hoping it heads south... I'm in County Durham and keep hearing thunder so fingers crossed!

Yep I'm North East Scotland. We had a power cut for 3 hours!

Just had a few rumbles earlier. It seems to have totally bypassed me.

We had it for bloody ages! And some if the thunder rolls shook the House!

Yeah a bit thundery earlier and massive hailstones in the west of Scotland.

We had thunder and lightning in the west earlier, must be moving east.

We're off up north Monday/Tuesday -Durham, Newcastle, Berwick - so hoping it's all finished by then.

It's all sweeping northeast. I'm in Durham and I've been watching the netweather radar app and the Scotland stuff is passing a long way north and we're just getting a stream of showers coming through Yorkshire then us, apart from Sunderland which appears to have spent the entire evening encased in drizzle.

Lightning maps is brilliant.....I spend far too much time looking at it!

That storm off Scotland looks like a good ‘un but I live in Kent so very unlikely it’d get here

It was actually lovely when we were there, this afternoon, before the humidity hit.
