What to drink in the evening...

...that isn’t hot, alcoholic, caffeinated, too calorific or milk based?!
I’m really struggling as in the winter I will sip hot chocolate, decaf tea, fruit teas etc. I’m trying to stick to 1200 calories a day at the moment and the hardest bit is the evening. Daytime I have tea or Diet Coke but they keep me awake if it’s too late. Also I don’t like the taste of tonic which is dh’s preferred drink.

So please, what do you like to drink in the evening that would fit the bill?

I've been drinking water with one of those fruit infusion tea bags in with a few ice cubes. So so refreshing on an evening like this!

You get a whole load of 'posh' cordials now that you could have with sparkling water.

You can make iced tea by just preparing fruit tea the same way you would normally but leave it to cool and add fruit and ice cubes.

Failing that - fruit/veg/herbs and ice in water are lovely.
Think fresh like cucumber and strawberry. Basil and lime. Frozen fruit works well too. Frozen raspberries are one of my faves just now

Alcohol free beer. Low sugar tonic with loads of ice and lime. Almond milk blitzed with some frozen bananas and cocoa powder. Fizzy/still water with fresh mint and cucumber.

These are nice, lots of ice and a straw!

Lime and soda or lime and sparkling water .

No-added-sugar squash made with diet lemonade.

When I was pregnant, I used to drink low calorie non alcoholic ginger beer in a wine glass. Or coconut and pineapple juice in a wine glass.

It always made me feel like I was having a 'proper' drink.

Diet ginger beer is a good one like a pp said 😊 I also drink caffeine free Diet Coke in the evening too!
