Chub rub - help!!!!

I'm on holiday and already have terrible chub rub in 35 degree heat, I don't know why I didn't predict this and do something to prevent it! It's so sore.
I don't have anything with me, what can I buy abroad to help soothe it and prevent it getting worse? I'm in Croatia. Any suggestions and tips welcome, me and my thighs will be very grateful.

Don't suppose you have a baby with you, and some nappy barrier cream (so Sudocrem, Metanium, etc)? That can work a dream, and also helps to heal the skin.

This - saw me through the heatwave of last year, lasted all day without needing to be reapplied. Just bought some more as it really did the trick.

Another vote for Snag chub rub shorts. They are brilliant.

DO NOT USE DEODORANT!!! Once you have chub rub, deodorant will sting like Satan's piss. Talc helps a lot.

A question about thigh bands: when I get chin rub it's usually right up by my knicker elastic. Most though bands don't seem to cover there. Do other people get chub rub lower down?

OP I find it helps to change pants/trousers etc often to avoid dampness from sweat, and to air out as much as poss at night.

Try wearing your DH's boxers!

Vaseline or sudocreme overnight if you can,
Then talcum powder, until you can find some leggings or loose trousers.

I have used large sticking plasters in desperation, not brilliant as i could hear them rubbing, but it was better than being in pain.

Have you got any PJ bottoms with you that will pass as Palazzo pants while you go shopping?

Best of luck!

Zinc cream eg sudocreme nappy cream basically. Buy cheap cotton cycling shorts for under dresses

Bepanthen (sp?) or if you can get any; tattoo healing stuff (I used Hustle Butter), appreciate it might not be possible but if you see any tattoo/piercing places I’d pop in and ask.

Oh wow, I never knew those bands existed! Thank you mumoftwo91!

Chub rub isn't necessarily due to being overweight. I am overweight but actually have a thigh gap. I carry my excess weight elsewhere. I don't have cellulite either but have seen slim women with that.
