Do I need a robot, cordless or mopping vacuum?

I have had it with trying to find a decent, reliable cleaner. So instead I am looking for ways to make the whole cleaning lark a little more tolerable.

Firstly the vacuum. I currently have a Hetty. She very pretty and pink, with eyelashes. However she has a tendency to flinging herself over and rolling into doorways.

I like the idea of a robot vacuum, but would still need to do the surfaces and skirting etc which I vacuum at the same time as the floor.

A cordless seems a good idea, but I have just seen on another thread the idea of a combined vacuum / mop. Again, not sure about skirting.

Can anyone share their experiences of any of the above?

And any other ideas for making cleaning a painless as possible?

I went the same way. Got a room a, so very fab and every now and then use the big vaccum to do stairs etc and full go over. Got as mopping one, it’s not as good, but better than doing it myself. Now have my third droid, lawn mower, good again.

I killed three roombas.
Now I have a karcher thing that mops, dries and vacs.
It's heavy but almost self propelled and happily DS seems to like it.
