Sun cream that is not sticky - does it exist?

LookMumNoFeet · 29/06/2019 15:23

I absolutely hate sun cream 😫
I can't stand the texture and how sticky it is. I've tried so many of them and never found one that's not annoying me.
Is there one out there that feels like a nice moisturiser, non sticky and with 30 factor protection?
TIA!

Nutrogena hydro gel sunscreen is passable. But I’m the same as you, I feel smothered and I fecking hate it. Will be watching in case someone suggests something life changing!

MiniDoofa · 29/06/2019 15:31

Neutrogena ones are usually good- smooth and not sticky. For my face I like la Roche Posay melt in cream or bb cream- factor 50, very silky and not greasy and fine for my acne-prone skin.

LookMumNoFeet · 29/06/2019 15:35

Ah cool, I haven't tried those.

I use Lancaster sun lotion and creams. None are sticky.

BooksAreMyOnlyFriends · 29/06/2019 15:38

Nivea protect and refresh. It's a spray and non sticky.

ElloBrian · 29/06/2019 15:40

I like the Garnier Ambre Solaire clear protect SPF30 spray. You can just spray it on, doesn’t need much if any rubbing in. Non greasy formula, water resistant.

AlunWynsKnee · 29/06/2019 15:42

DH uses a spray as he hates the lotion. I think it's the Garnier one.

delilahbucket · 29/06/2019 15:42

I like Piz Buin for my face. I've just ordered the same one for my body so I'm hoping it is equally none greasy. My face has never burned even in hot countries with the factor 30, despite how fair I am and only applying twice a day.

TodaysFishIsTroutALaCreme · 29/06/2019 15:43

We are fans of ultrasun in this house. I've never found it to be sticky, it doesn't stain and it doesn't smell either. It soaks in beautifully and we only have to apply it once a day.

alwaysthinkingofsleep · 29/06/2019 15:45

Try a dry spray? Like la Roche posay, face one is great. I believe ambre Solaris also do one. I like the ambre solaire clear spray & don't find that sticky.

Postmanbear · 29/06/2019 15:48

Ultrasun is amazing. The sports ones go on like a gel that evaporates and it’s only once a day. 20% at John Lewis atm.

AuditAngel · 29/06/2019 15:50

Not for faces, but Banana boat Powder is popular in our house

PattedPlont · 29/06/2019 15:53

Lush do a sun protection powder.

LookMumNoFeet · 29/06/2019 16:29

Thanks all. Will check some of these out 🤞

I always nick my friend's ultrasun as it's lush! Pricey though

DragonMamma · 29/06/2019 16:33

I used P20. It’s once a day and feels alcohol based going on - no need reapply during the day at all.

Mayday19 · 29/06/2019 16:35

Id be really nervous putting a once-a-day one on the dcs - you can confirm it really does work??

RoseReally · 29/06/2019 16:36

Piz Buin. I use Biore for face.

Plump82 · 29/06/2019 16:39

Primarks spray sun lotion is amazing and only £4. I highly recommend it. I hate the feeling of sun cream and always need to wash my hands after but don't with this one.

teyem · 29/06/2019 16:39

Ultrasun? We have Ultrasun because it doesn't irritate the DC's sensitive skin but the regular factor 50 one makes you look like a big sweaty mess.

Wiglio · 29/06/2019 16:43

Piz Ultra Light dry touch isn’t sticky at all
Sort of ‘dries’ dry, it’s comfortable

IvyandStan · 29/06/2019 16:43

Garnier dry mist . Only one my asd son will use as mon sticky

mandybeesborough · 29/06/2019 16:53

I don’t think there is such a thing. One persons non sticky is another persons greasy mess. We’ve just been using ultrasun and definitely leaves a sticky residue. Prefer Boots Soltan baby one.

yellowsun · 29/06/2019 16:56

Ultra sun factor 30 is great.

GiggleMcDimples · 29/06/2019 17:03

I used to swear by P20 but over the years they've changed the ingredients and I've burned the last few times I've used it.

I'm looking for an alternative to that too. I used to love it.
