Could I be pregnant?

Just looked on my period tracker app and apparently I'm due on tomorrow which is weird since I have no period symptoms and I suffer really badly with cramps before and during every month.

I've been in all day today feeling really nauseas- started last night (2am ish) and have weird taste in mouth. No D&V either and I don't feel like I need to throw up.

I did also have 2 'periods' last month- the second one was shorter (like 2 days or so) and not as painful and about 2 weeks after the first one.

We (DP & I) are not trying to get pregnant and use condoms as BC, always super careful too and check them afterwards incase of accidental splitting.

Am I going crazy?

Why ask here when you know you need to test?

Thursday452poh · 29/06/2019 15:06

Yes you could be, also you might not be. Go test

netflixlove · 29/06/2019 15:07

@CORSACORSA I can't honestly believe it could be- I was hoping you guys would come on and laugh it off! What's the most reliable test? I'll order off amazon.

I'm 20 so this is kind of scary.

Since none of us are psychic take a test! - really don't understand these "could I be pregnant" threads - order First Response tests they can be accurate up to 6 days before your period is due

caughtinanet · 29/06/2019 15:23

If you've had sex since your last period you could be pregnant, isn't that how it works?

Cuppa12345 · 29/06/2019 15:27

Yes, you could be. If you've had sex. Take a test.

lilpumpsmum · 29/06/2019 15:34

Follow this simple flow chart:

Thanks for the blunt replies everyone😅

I'm going to wait until Monday just incase it's late as I don't want to waste the money.

They cost £1 in Poundland. You don’t need a stupidly expensive job.

RebootYourEngine · 29/06/2019 16:19

First response didn't work for me. Clear blue did as well as a cheap test.

NoSauce · 29/06/2019 16:25

Probably no but who knows. Sickness in pregnancy doesn’t start this early, it’s usually 6/7 weeks.

BlackeyedGruesome · 29/06/2019 16:25

poas.

and definitely could be pregnant. condoms are not that reliable.

nicecuppaforme · 29/06/2019 16:29

Unlikely to be pregnant if you're using condoms correctly.
If you had a wonky period last month though you can't really know what date you're due on can you.
I'd see gp if you bleed between periods again.

PotteringAlong · 29/06/2019 18:43

Unlikely to be pregnant if you're using condoms correctly.

On 5live last week there was an interview with someone using the male contraceptive gel. The failure rate for condoms was quoted as 17%...

PotteringAlong · 29/06/2019 18:48

A quick google found a website quoting the failure rate for “typical” condom use as 18%...

OP, poas. Its unlikely, prob just wonky period afterast month which could just be stress etc. But poas else you'll make yourself stress more. If it's negative and period still doesn't come by a normal cycle length after your short period, see the doc

nicecuppaforme · 29/06/2019 18:55

So far more likely to work than not work then?
Considering the average woman only has 25% chance of conceiving per cycle, plus the condom use and the 'funny' period she had 2 weeks ago. I'd say it's unlikely she's pregnant.

CitadelsofScience · 29/06/2019 19:01

nosauce I wish my hideous morning sickness knew to wait until 7 weeks, I'd already thrown up half my body weight by then.

NoSauce · 29/06/2019 19:15

Ah sorry to hear that citadel. I was just going off the norm. Hormones don’t normally kick in till 6/7 weeks where nausea is concerned. With all of mine the horrible all day and all night nausea and vomiting didn’t really start till 7 weeks and gone by 16 weeks.

BrillyPribble · 29/06/2019 19:18

Sickness in pregnancy doesn’t start this early,

Nausea was my first indication I needed to test - about 10 dpo. With my first it then didn't abate until around 34 weeks.

SleepingStandingUp · 29/06/2019 19:21

My early nausea was a prewarning there was more than one in there...

Chloe9 · 29/06/2019 19:39

My nausea starts instantly but I don't show on a test until 6ish weeks

Not every bodies body behaves the way you'd expect it to

NoSauce · 29/06/2019 19:50

Funny how with all my four pregnancies and everyone else I know, including two with HG our nausea didn’t start till at least 6 weeks.

nicecuppaforme · 29/06/2019 19:55

@NoSauce my sickness / nausea didn't start til 6 weeks, was at its worst at 8 weeks and much better around 12 weeks which I believe is the typical pattern.
There will always be exceptions though.
