I'd love to know if anyone has found a cheap alternative to Pepsi and Coke?

I mean a cheap, good alternative!

No, has to be the real thing.
I suppose you can buy a big pack of them cheaply in a cheap supermarket.

NotMuchCommonSense · 29/06/2019 11:26

Nope, has to be the real thing.

It's so bad for you as well, you crave it if you've got a habit. It's made the biggest difference to my health cutting it out.

Lidl's own and ASDA 's own brands are not bad. But saying that I bought 24 bottles on the 500 ml diet coco cola yesterday at Costco for £12 that's very cheap

mysteryfairy · 29/06/2019 11:27

I order from ocado where it's either £7 or £8 for 24 cans Diet Pepsi I.e.33p a can

Sorry, I know you are a fan and looking for cheaper versions. I used to drink a couple Diet Coke a day. When I stopped, within around 4 weeks all the cellulite on my thighs had disappeared and they looked leaner and toned. Have switched to sparkling water with some Fever Tree in - it's lovely.

GrassIsntGreener · 29/06/2019 11:54

I don't usually buy it, I don't crave it but thanks for the unnecessary heath advice. I'm a sparkling water fan myself. The cola is just for a change in this warm weather and I wondered about other versions. My memory of cheap versions is that they were not good!

Just buy the real thing but when it’s discounted

Florencenotflo · 29/06/2019 11:56

Has to be the real thing unfortunately! Asda and Tesco usually have it on offer - £3 for 2 x 2 litre bottles.

GrassIsntGreener · 29/06/2019 11:56

Diana I'm not 'a fan' - it's weird that people get this from my very simple post. I don't drink alcohol often (few times a year), I drink water all day long and occasionally have sparkling water plain or with flavour in.

But again. Thanks for the health advice.

Well it's clear there isn't a cheaper, good one! Thanks everyone, I'll get some Coke or Pepsi.Smile

I'm quite fussy and like the Sainsbury's classic cola.

LuxuryWoman2018 · 29/06/2019 13:44

I quite like the Sainsbury one too, it's not exactly coke but nice in it's own right.

KnittingForMittens · 29/06/2019 14:17

I love Aldi every day essentials Diet Coke. It cost 19 p I think (less than 20p I know that!)

Progress2019 · 29/06/2019 15:59

When my husband was made redundant during the big recession years ago, my Diet Coke habit had to change. Loads of people on Money Saving Expert we’re recommending the Lidl Freeway diet cola, so I gave it a try, and prefer it now to anything else, through choice not necessity. Last year there was some production problem and I had to go back to Diet Coke for a while but I wasn’t so keen.

It’s 42p for a 2 litre bottle. I don’t think it stays fizzy for quite as long as Diet Coke but it’s really nice.

blackcat86 · 29/06/2019 16:35

Dh likes to take a can to work so has switched to the Tesco xero ones. It doesn't have the nasty chemical taste of some of the others.

MrMeSeeks · 29/06/2019 17:14

I love sainsburys or asda own coke , so maybe try their diet versions?
