What time do you put your DC to bed when it's warm out?

I've been putting the DC to bed a bit later while it's been warm but they are still getting up at normal time, if not a bit earlier! They are going to crash and burn if they keep it up.

Youngest is 5yo, normally in bed for 7.30 but been going up at 8 although not asleep until nearer 9 while it's been warm then up at 7.

Just wondered what everyone else's DC were doing!

Almost 3yo ds has been going to bed an hour later, sometimes 2.
He will still have a nap at midday though if I ask him to so he's fine.

We've been keeping to the normal routine of bath at 6:45 an then books in bed after. Last night DS1 who is 3 said "mummy light off now" the light was already off💡😂

I've always just put mine to bed as normal. They have blackout blinds and curtains in their rooms so they block out quite a lot of heat. Mine are still young but are 6 & 8 so are allowed to read a bit before bed and can get up by themselves on a morning but they need rest, which I do have to push on them sometimes, so bedtimes are constant regardless of the weather!

But if it's hot like it is then mine won't go to sleep at normal time Confused

Is there any way you can cool their rooms down? A fan blowing over a small bowl of icy water perhaps or keeping blinds and curtains closed when the sun shines through the windows?
