Hi,

Just wondered if this looks like chicken pox?

Definitely possible. You'll know soon enough, they popped up very quickly with my DCs so there will be lots more within hours.
Poor thing, not nice in this weather.

Chartreuser · 29/06/2019 07:50

Yes

Absoluteunit · 29/06/2019 07:50

Looks very much like it to me (not an expert though)

Agree looks likely. Stock up on calamine cream- much less messy than the lotion, ice lollies and have been advised the cooling mousse poxilin (sp?) Will provide great relief if you do have the pox.

0hT00dles · 29/06/2019 07:56

Yeah, most definitely looks like it. Dd1 came out with a spot that we were all unsure of on Thursday. Looked quite like that.

Poxclin, calamine cream and calpol.

nespressowoo · 29/06/2019 07:59

Yes. That's how my DS's started. Poxclin is fab

nespressowoo · 29/06/2019 08:00

My DS just had one spot for 2 days then they all started popping up.

RhubarbAndMustard · 29/06/2019 08:02

Yep, looks like it to me.

MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue · 29/06/2019 08:04

Yep! We are currently on day 7 of chicken pox and it started very much like that! Within a day it was unmistakable.

Stock up on PoxClin - it's much better than camomile and less messy! Also oat baths! And no nurofen!!!

meepmoop · 29/06/2019 09:48

Thanks everyone! I've been and got him some poxclin. They only had calamine lotion I've bought it but not sure how to put it on as it's so runny.

Can DS have suncream on with chicken pox, he's absolutely full of energy so needs to go outside to burn it off!

Use cotton wool to dab on the calamine lotion.

Mrsjayy · 29/06/2019 10:04

Pour calamine lotion into cotton wool then dab on ,

Mrsjayy · 29/06/2019 10:08

Onto cotton wool* you are not really meant to go into direct sun with chicken pox i would put him in long legged/armed clothes

Hmmmbop · 29/06/2019 13:48

No suncream, no direct sunlight. No bubble bath, no moisturiser. Basically nothing but water and things to treat the pox.

AuditAngel · 29/06/2019 16:35

You can put bi carb in the bath water to help dry the spots.
