I love being old and boring on a Friday night.

Fewer things make me happier that being half asleep on the sofa in front of the tv on a Friday night after a long week at work, waking up and seeing DP also snoozing on the sofa near me, with the cat snoozing next to him.

DS is away this weekend. I'm seriously considering bed before it's dark.

Oh no, not me!
I mean, I do like staying in during the cold months but the sun brings out the lively side in me.
Saying that, I’m more likely to be out on a Saturday than on a Friday because most of my friends prefer it that way.
I don’t like feeling I’m wishing my life away and spending it on my sofa!!

ToEarlyForDecorations · 04/07/2019 20:25

I've never like going out on a Friday. It was always take away and telly and I loved it. I'd go out on a Friday and pretend to enjoy it. However, the idea of going out on a Friday gave me heart sink.

I thought and still do, 'oi, that's my take away and/or chocolate night.' I'm reluctant to give it up.

I’ve found my people!!! I LOVE being in on a Friday night - esp if have clean sheets on!!! Sadly no lie in for us on Sat mornings now as have 10 month old (I’m almost 41, hubby is 36), and love it when it’s gardeners world then have I got news for you!

MyGastIsFlabbered · 04/07/2019 21:30

I only get to see DP at the weekend so I love Fridays cuddled up on the sofa, a glass of wine and The Last Leg on TV.

In my mid-60s now, but my late DH and I started early on this in our 40s, never going to see a film with subtitles on a Friday as it would be too taxing, or theatre, ditto, and loved Gardener's World.

When we came to Australia, we started to go and see a lot more bands together, but would always be horrorstruck on a Friday if the headline act came on at 10.00. so needed a nanna nap to get in the zone.

I might be going out this Friday night, but again I might be not. I will wait and see how I feel on Friday afternoon after work.

HotChocolateLover · 05/07/2019 06:51

Friday night is a definite no after a week at work. However in the summer, I may consider a drink out by the harbour if the mood takes me. I’m late thirties.

HotChocolateLover · 05/07/2019 06:52

*However on a Saturday (I meant to say)

CookPassBabtridge · 05/07/2019 07:28

We've been like this since our early 20s, old before our time! If I do socialise then I much prefer it to be day drinking. Nights out just feel like a disappointment.

FashionFoodLaughs · 05/07/2019 07:33

I do ParkRun most Saturdays so love the feeling of “having” to get an early night and a pasta dinner on a Friday x

SinglePringle · 05/07/2019 07:36

I cannot wait to get home later and throw open the doors to the garden, water my plants, put my hair up, shower, eat, pour a G&T and go to my (already changed it this morning) clean bed.

Cannot Wait!!

Dirtydancefloors · 05/07/2019 07:38

Also mid thirties and totally agree. All week I look forward to that Friday feeling of just chilling in front of the telly with a glass of wine and knowing I haven't got to get up early in the morning!

Can't think of anything worse than going out to a noisy sweaty club.
