I once went to an interactive lecture about ghosts.
I then lived in the sticks and the lecture was held at Bicton College in Devon. The lecturers, a man and a woman, talked about physical contact with spirits. One of the lecturers presented a case study of a woman in Denmark, a hotel owner, who claimed to have frequently been visited and touched intimately by a male ghost in the evening when she was settled in her bed. She believed it was the ghost of a young man who had died in the hotel two years prior.
The lecturers asked for the audience for their views on whether ghosts from the past could physically interact with us in the present. One of them asked directly if any body has ever had sex with a ghost.
An elderly gentleman next to me put his hand up and then stood up. He said he had had sex and turning to the audience described in great detail how he had done so as a virulent young man in his 30's. Not just once, but frequently and most evenings in the meadow next to the churchyard on his way home from the factory.
After a bit of gasping from the audience and further questioning from the lecturers, he twiddled his hearing aid and then said;
"Ghost?? Oh sorry, I thought you said Goat!"
