Manchester Recommendations

I’m visiting Manchester with a friend this weekend for an event on Friday night. Can anyone recommend anywhere nice for dinner and cocktails on Saturday night? Also, any suggestions for interesting places to visit in the day?

For dinner and cocktails, I’d recommend The Refinery in Spinningfields. In nice weather, the outdoor terrace is a great place to watch the world go by.
During the day, there are a couple of good museums you could go to: The People’s History Museum and Manchester Art Gallery. The LomoWall is worth seeing and I’d also recommend Ordsall Hall.
