I have a 3 yr old and 2 yr old who go to nursery 3 days a week and i work part time. The younger one loves nursery but the older one would rather stay at home. I’m going to start working 4 days a week soon but am worried about the impact this will have on the DC.

Truth be told i do have the opportunity to go FT but guilt is stopping me. I would much rather be working FT now and become part time when the DC start school so i can do drop offs and pick ups. I just feel so sad when my eldest says he doesn’t want to go into nursery though and this is why i’m sticking to 4 days. I guess i just want some reassurance that i am not going to ruin them by having them in childcare so much when i could be taking care of them at home.

Also financially i need to work a minimum of 3 days but the extra 2 days are a different job which doesn’t pay brilliantly but i love the work. I’m compromising by only taking on 1 day of the new job.
