I ordered something for a party last weekend. Despite it being scheduled to arrive a couple of days before it never made it. Hey ho, it happens. The postman just turned up with it today, five days late. The (well wrapped) package was dripping wet, the cardboard of the package was wet through. Royal Mail had put the parcel in a clear plastic bag and sealed it. The postman (who is lovely, but deaf and difficult to understand) seemed to think it was acceptable. When I said I wasn't happy he said I'd have to return it to the sender, but I didn't think it was returnable - if I took it out of the bag it would've disintergrated. I said he should take it back to the depot and they should return it. He took it away. I've since messaged the seller telling them what happened. Now I'm wishing I'd taken a photo. I have visions of never seeing it again. Royal Mail have since then sent me an email saying it was delivered. I've messaged them back saying it was wet and damaged so I've returned it, but only by their feedback, their contact us links didn't open.
Have I messed up!
