Up yet again with a DC on a waking night, this cheered me up when I spotted it on the BBC news website in the wee small hours this morning!

Surely not just me amused by the English Father Jack?!

Just me then?! Perhaps I should have referenced the bleached blond one in the thread title....

Yeah, that's funny Grin. Actually I love a good The Sun pun. I've always thought it must be a hoot sitting there making up puns for headlines.

I too am partial to a good pun, Hermione, and I even have to admit to punning competitions with a DC! If we end up with Boris, I fear that the opportunities for puns will be endless...

"The English Fr Jack" Grin

Ooh, you're right there Ted!

It certainly seems like he needs to drink more of Mrs Doyle's tea and less red wine, SrSteve! Wink

@BBInGinDrinking, "Down with this sort of thing!" Grin

Or as Stormzy and the Glastonbury crowd put it last night, 'Feck Boris' Wink

Yuck, he kissed it on the face. I hope the poor dog had a wash afterwards!

TheInebriati · 29/06/2019 23:15

Is the photo of him posing with a cute dog supposed to distract us from recent events?

BBInGinDrinking · 30/06/2019 02:04

Just another kiss and tell?!

...or lining up wife number 4?

Whatever you think of tabloid journalism, some of their wordplay in headlines is nearly an artform. Recently, when Sir Mick Jagger was being treated for a heart condition, I loved the headline "Let's mend the knight together". Grin

BBInGinDrinking · 30/06/2019 19:42

Agreed, Dad! Grin
