Tell me about your curtains?

Looking for inspiration, and not very creatively imaginative. I have off white/cream walls, greyish/black fabric sofas, oak wood furniture and need some curtains, partner does not want any more beige/cream coloured things, I was looking at patterned curtains and wasn’t sure what was modern and what was old fashioned .
I don’t really like the whole crushed velvet look that seems to be ‘in’.
What curtains do you have? Or suggest colours or pattern or where to get from?
Ideally not mega expensive as we have wide and long windows to cover

I have white walls, a pale grey carpet and a black and grey sofa, with light wood furniture.
I have plain sage green curtains, cushion covers and rugs. I also have plain mustard colour curtains, cushion covers and rugs for when i fancy a change.
Both get complimented on.
At the moment i am looking at raspberry coloured curtains etc for this coming winter just for a change.
I tend to buy them from either Amazon, B&M or The Range type of places.
My curtains are 90x90 and i rarely pay above £40 a pair.
Get what YOU want, not what pleases others.
